Gisela Quinteros, Originally from Argentina. Started dance at 8 years old at Estudio Pavlova. At age 16 Artistic Director Pierre Lacotte invited her to join his company: Ballet National de Nancy et Lorraine in France (1995-2000) With BNNL she performed classical Repertoire a L’Opera de Nancy and different venues such as Théâtre Champs Élysée, Palais du Festival de Cannes, touring in France and internationally: Théâtre de Lausanne, Festival De Spoleto, Théâtre du Luxembourg, Pavia, Catania, Santander, Finland, Russia (Bolshoi Theater), China and Brazil.
She also attended and graduated from the Conservatoire National de Musique et Danse de Nancy with Médaille de Vermeil.
In 2001 she moved to New York as a freelance dancer and worked with Lincoln Jones, Caron Eule, Kenny Larson, David Fernandez, Abel Costa, Amanda Selwyn, Erin Hunter, Westminster Ballet, Christopher Caines, Douglas Dunn, Open Project, Benjamin Briones, CityDance.
In 2012 she Co-founded ENCOUNTERS Dance with Edgar Peterson, a multidisciplinary platform for artists where she choreographed and produced performances at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, The Bowery Electric, New York City Center, Gibney Dance and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center honoring Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Robbins centennials with Millennium Chamber Symphony.
Most recent works include site specific pop-up themed performances for an Art Gallery, collaborations with composers and Summer Festivals.
Her Ballet Teaching experience includes Youth and Adult Programs at The Great Neck School of Dance, Ballet and Body, Ballet Arts, Joffrey Ballet School, Dance Cavise. She is grateful to be part of the Encore Center for Performing Arts Team.
