Katie Hegenauer is a dancer and choreographer from Brewster NY. Growing up in a family that loved music, rhythm, beat & groove has always been something that has been innate and natural within Katie’s body and soul. Starting at age 5, she attended Taps N’ Toes Dance Studio in Brewster, New York. She was presented the Most Improved Dancer Award in 2019; which sparked her confidence and passion and acted as the light to fuel her desire to further pursue dance in college. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Manhattanville University in 2025, which a Bachelor of Arts in Dance & Psychology, Katie sought out every dance opportunity that came her way, and as a result has gained much experience in several styles of dance, such as: contemporary, modern, tap, hip-hop/street styles, jazz and ballet. During her studies at Manhattanville, Katie has received academic acknowledgement from the University, achieving the Certificate of Recognition Spotlight Award, The Michael Posnick Award for Academic Achievement: Dance as well as The Ara Fitzgerald Award for Performance Innovation: Dance.Katie has had the honor of performing for and working in collaboration with choreographers such as er performance education she has been honored to dance for choreographers such as Andrei Kisselev, Bo Belza, Esosa Oviasu, James Kho, Bradley Beaks, Edson Maldonado, Julia Ehstrand, Janice Rosario, Maddison Clay, Shannon Atkins, Shawn Bible, Sarah Housepian, Vive Khamsingsavath and Yoshito Sakuraba.Katie is at heart, a lover of art, and appreciates all the opportunities she has been gifted in life, whether being a performer, student, teacher, choreographer, or audience member. She hopes to bring inspiration and sanctity to all whom she crosses paths within life.
